Reset may move the display backwards. Repeating mode starts a new cycle now; a session stays on actual time until you apply it again.
How the clock works
In Always ahead mode, the clock builds a lead during the fast phase, keeps that lead while running normally, then slows to meet actual time at your chosen boundary. In Can lag or lead mode, the same strength can place the display behind or ahead of actual time before it returns to sync.
For an 8:30–11:30 session, the preset runs fast for the first 20 minutes and slows during 10:30–11:30. The finish remains 11:30 in actual time.
Your settings stay on this device. The reference is your device clock; keep automatic date and time enabled.
This replaces the displayed time inside this page, including full-screen mode. Browsers and ordinary Android apps cannot replace the phone’s system or status-bar time. Alarms and other apps continue using system time. Android permission details.
This is a personal pacing clock. A slower display does not create extra exam time or establish faster writing. Use it for practice or where permitted, and follow the official exam clock. Read the evidence and philosophy.
