PV Function
Present value relates a future amount to a chosen interest rate and duration. Payment frequency and rate units must be consistent; the timing of recurring payments also matters.
Summary, citation & reading scope
Citation: Microsoft (n.d.). PV function. Microsoft Support.
Reading scope: PV syntax, rate/time consistency and payment timing sections reviewed on 11 October 2026.

Reading scope: Educational calculator inputs and compounding options reviewed on 11 October 2026.
